On January 01, 2019, Willis Fred Taylor Sr., passed away, one week short of his 91st birthday. Willis was born in New Haven CT on January 08, 1928 to the late Lewis Edward Taylor and Victoria Tomasi Taylor. Willis is the widower of Mary Louise Taylor. Willis is survived by his children Willis Taylor Jr., Joseph (Gloria) Taylor, Concetta Taylor, Anthony Amato, Annamarie Hotchkiss, Victoria Taylor, Donna (Joseph) Candela, Patricia (Rich) Hansen, Elizabeth Taylor, and Robert (Polly) Amato. He was Predeceased by two daughters, Deborah Hotchkiss and Maryann Miller. Willis also, leaves behind 31 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and one great, great grandchild Blaze Ryan Magnotti. Willis was Predeceased by his grandson Luis “Sito” Damiani and his granddaughter, Felicia Hotchkiss. Willis also leaves behind the Chappell family who were more like children to him than nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Apple Health Care, West Haven CT (especially his daughter Elizabeth and his granddaughter Stephanie) for their compassion and care to our father as well as our whole family.
There will be a viewing for Willis on Monday, January 07, 2019 at Celentano Funeral home 424 Dwight Street New Haven CT., from 5pm to 8pm. Burial will be on Friday, January 11, 2019 at a time to be announced in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, New Haven, CT.
