WILLIAM F. NAYLOR, SR. Obituary

William F. “Bill” Naylor Sr. 93, of East Haven passed away peacefully on Oct. 18, 2016 at The Arden House, Hamden. Born in New Haven on Nov. 28, 1922, he was the son of the late Charles and Sarah Hogan Naylor. He worked for Metro North/Conrail Railroad as a manager of Passenger Sales for 42 years. Mr. Naylor served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Nevada. He was an avid Notre Dame football fan and he enjoyed the casinos in Las Vegas as well as six months of the year living in San Diego. He is survived by one son, Richard K. (Marcy) Naylor of Woodbridge; a daughter, Kathryn (Richard) Hora of Poway, CA; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Evelyn C. Haut Naylor; two sons, Robert and William Naylor Jr. and two brothers, Richard and Robert Naylor.

 Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Wednesday, Oct. 26th at 10:15.  Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Road, Woodbridge at 11:00. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15 am. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
