William T. Esposito of East Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday April 15th at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was survived by his wife Marie DeVerniero Esposito, his daughter Maria (Carl) Prota and his grandchildren Matthew and Katherine Prota. He was predeceased by his parents William and Ethel (Petronzi) Esposito.
Born in New Haven he attended St Rose’s Grammar School and was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High School. He remained a benefactor of St Rose’s school until its recent closing. In 1956, he established Premier Plumbing and Heating Company which he owned and operated for more than 60 years. Through the plumbing industry he was instrumental in many construction projects in the greater New Haven area and along the shoreline. He also established and maintained William T Esposito Enterprises which owned and operated numerous commercial and residential real estate properties in the area.
He was a member of the Amity Club of New Haven and a former trustee of Our Lady of Pompeii Church. He was very devoted to his family, especially his grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday April 21st at the Our Lady of Pompeii campus of St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in East Haven at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the St. Lawrence Garden Mausoleum.
