WILLIAM TYLER CRAWFORD Obituary

William Tyler “Bill” Crawford, 61, of New Haven, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 23, 2017.  Born in Milford on Sept. 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Jerome (Jerry) and Patricia (Pat) Crawford. Bill grew up in the West Shore area and was a 1973 graduate of West Haven High School. He was a member of the high school band and enjoyed bowling and playing chess. A tireless walker, he would walk throughout New Haven and West Haven. His daily treks always included visiting his mom at The Grimes Center. Bill is survived by three sisters, Peg Crawford of West Haven, Patricia (Barry) Swanson of Satellite Beach, FL. and Karen (Jim) Held of Hanover, PA.; three nieces & two nephews, April Swanson of Melbourne, FL., Melissa (Kevin) Snow of Jacksonville, FL., Eric (Allyson) Swanson of Merritt Island, FL., Sarah Held of Gettysburg, PA. and Robert Held of Osnabruck, Germany; four grand nieces & two grand nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Martin and Jerry (Jac) Crawford; a step niece, Stephanie and brother in law, Frank Pergolotti.  The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dorothy Williams of The Connection.
