VICTORIA JULIA (Ruggiero) PASTORE Obituary

Victoria (Julia) Ruggiero Pastore, 99, formerly of 135 Derby Ave., New Haven passed away Dec. 25, 2017 in Hamden Health Care. She was the widow of Vincent J. Pastore. Born in New Haven on Nov. 24, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Carmela DeLucia Ruggiero. In her younger years, she worked at MITE Corporation and Winchester Repeating Arms Co. She was one of the earliest residents of Berger Apartments, having lived there for 37 years. She is survived by two sons, Former New Haven Police Chief Nicholas Pastore and Leonard F. (Eleanor) Pastore of Meriden as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Joseph and Vincent Pastore Jr.; two brothers, Pasquale and Anthony Ruggiero; five sisters, Antoinette Bockius, Assunta “Susie” Montagna, Christina Votto, Mary Tomasi and Lucy Ruggiero; and her granddaughter, Dawn Pastore.
