Timothy Michael Bennett Obituary

Our beloved son, Timothy Michael Bennett, age 42, passed away suddenly on Friday October 10, 2025 from an unexpected heart event at his home in Seymour.  He was born on July 18, 1983 at Griffin Hospital in Derby, where we, his parents, Gerry and Bonnie Bennett, joyfully and proudly accepted our beautiful baby boy with loving arms and such happiness. We were truly blessed to have him and miss him deeply already. Tim grew up in Woodbridge and made many friends in school and graduated from Amity High School. He worked in a little factory sweeping floors and at McDonalds in his junior and senior years and was always a hard worker. He went on to work at Stop and Shop starting in the produce department and worked his way up to Assistant Manager.  He loved his job there and decided to stay with them for 25 years working at several different stores.  He made many good friends there.
He loved sports, the New York teams, Yankees, Giants, and Knicks.  Pizza was definitely a food favorite with Ernie's in Westville as his number one place.  He also loved music and comedy.  Tim loved giving weather reports and was usually right every time.  I sure will miss them.
He leaves his beloved sister Jessie, brother Jeremy, and sister Susie (and Adam) and his only nephew, Chase Gault, whom he absolutely adored.  He also leaves his cat Twister or Twisty who was always with him.  He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Joseph and Janice Grailich of Shelton and his paternal grandparents Rose and Roy Bennett of East Haven.  He leaves behind Aunt Margo Grailich and cousin Anthony Pittaluga of Wolcott, Aunt Karen and Ron Baker of Waterbury, and cousins Justin (and Chrystal) and Jake (and Denise), cousin John Grailich and Sam and Joe, and Aunt Pam Hurlburt.  He was predeceased by cousin, Leslie Ann Warren.  He leaves Uncle Carl Grailich, cousin Joey Grailich (and Jen), of South Carolina.  He also leaves Uncle Douglas Bennett (and Loretta) of Wallingford and cousin Madeleine.
Tim is a believer in Jesus Christ as his Lord And Savior.  We know for sure that he is with him and will live on forever until we meet again.  Rejoice in the Lord my sweet blessed boy whom we will always love!
Calling hours are from 10-11:45 am Friday October 17 at Celentano Funeral home, 424 Elm Street, New Haven, followed by a memorial message and burial in Eastside Cemetery in Woodbridge, CT.
