Thalia Savakis, 58, of Hamden passed away unexpectedly at home on Nov. 14, 2016. Born in New Haven on Nov. 20, 1957, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mary Pappas Savakis. Thalia was a customer service representative for Power Phone for several years and was a member of St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church. She is survived by her brother, Milton (Cheryl) Savakis of Hamden; her sister, Helen (Michael) Wachter of Hamden; her close friend, Greg Sheehan and 7 nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Rossi.
Friends are invited to attend funeral services in St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Road, Orange Thursday morning at 11:00. Calling hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Barbara Endowment Fund.
