Sharon L. Pappas, aged 77, longtime resident of Hamden, and most recently North Haven, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021. Her loving family was by her side. Daughter of the late Myer Blodinger & Rosalind (Joseph), she was born on March 29, 1943 in New Haven.

Graduate of James Hillhouse High School, Sharon spent the majority of her career as a Senior Administrative Professional at Yale University. She was an active member of St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church, dedicating many years volunteering as a Daughter of Penelope and working at the annual Odyssey Festival.

Sharon's greatest joy was spending time with her wonderful friends & family. She had a passion for music & dancing - be it Greek dancing at festivals, attending Zumba classes at the local gym, or concerts in the park. She enjoyed traveling of all forms, especially excursions to Newport or cruising the islands of Greece & the Carribean. But what she especially loved was game nights, shopping & coffee dates with friends.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, George James, daughters Elissa Light (John), Christy Pappas (Damon) & grandchildren Christopher & Alexis Light.

Friends and family may call at St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, 480 Racebrook Rd., Orange, CT Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM and are invited to attend funeral services at 10:30 AM.
