Salvatore “Sal” Paul Milardo, 79, of New Haven passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 after a brave battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Sal graduated from University of New Haven with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He worked in several industries including insurance, transportation and in security for St. Raphael’s Hospital. Over the years, he developed many loving friends and was the reason why many of them kept in contact with each other.
Sal will be fondly remembered by his family as a proud grandfather, an avid Yankees and baseball fan, famously opinionated, and even in his final days, having a strong grip. He enjoyed holidays with family, going out to breakfast with his friends, eating chocolate and ice cream, watching baseball, game shows and Mass on TV.
He is survived by his daughters, Tara Milardo and her partner, LauraLee Denler of Colchester, CT., Beth Ann Casperson and her husband, Todd of Tiverton, R.I., and his daughter in law, Lynna Otero and her fiancé, Ed Forster of Hamden. Also survived by four grandchildren, Kenyon Milardo, Jonas Milardo, Tyler Milardo-Denler and Magnus Casperson.
