Robert Anthony Galba passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his loving family on February 20, 2023. Bob was born September 22,1934 in New Haven, son of the late Anthony and Mary Galba. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara, and their daughter Darleen (Nello); their son Robert; their grandchildren Chris, Sean, Jillian, and Maya. He is also survived by his sister Geraldine Scalia and brother Richard Gogliettino. He is predeceased by his brother Andy Ciaburri (Lois). Bob proudly served in the U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge in 1958. He owned and operated B&B Carpet Services for many years in North Branford. He loved his family and friends and the many projects around his home. He had a passion for gardening and loved all his dogs–past and present. He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Special thanks to his physician Dr. Colin Brien, the Veterans Home Based Primary Care Team, and Cindy, for their care and support.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. at Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St, New Haven. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Rd, No. Bfd. at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave. No. Haven.
