Robert A. Carlo, Jr. (1942-2025) passed away suddenly on August 12, 2025, in Leesburg, Florida. Born in New Haven, Bob remained close to home for most of his life. He attended the University of New Haven and Hillhouse High School. Robert worked in accounting at Flexi Van Leasing; Beers Hammerman, Cohen & Burger; and New England Consulting Group. Through these
experiences, Bob made and maintained numerous lifelong friendships.
Bob was known for his strong opinions, his penchant for proper grammar, his fondness for a hot buttered lobster roll, and his great love for all things Charlie Brown. With his home on the sand Momauguin, he could often be found fishing on the rocks or sleeping on his deck in the sun.
Bob is survived by his daughter Teresa (Paul) and her mother Rae, as well as his beloved grandchildren Charles Robert, Lila Claire, and Meryl Catherine. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Therese Carlo.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 21, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Celentano Funeral Home in New Haven followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Aedan Church in Westville at 11:00. Interment will follow with his parents in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Robert’s family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Martin de Porres Academy in New Haven.
