Richard A. Stannard, 78, passed away peacefully at home March 17, 2025. He was the dear husband of Debra Deyorio Stannard. Richard was born in Hartford on March 8, 1947 a son of the late Warren G. and Florence Adams Stannard. He received his Masters Degree in Counseling and worked for Southern Connecticut State University for many years. Besides his wife Richard is survived by his brother Warren (Lois) Stannard II, his sister in law Joanne Gerlach, his nephew Brandon Coldwell, and his dear friends Julius Fabrini and David Fowler. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother in law Albert Deyorio Jr. Richard became a dedicated servant and Jehovah’s Witness on July 2, 2011.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service Monday March 24th in the Kingdom Hall, 885 Wintergreen Ave., Hamden, at 10:00 AM. Interment with his parents will follow in Fairview Cemetery West Hartford. The Celentano Funeral Home is serving his family.
