Rose Luciani D’Antonio, Age 100, of Woodbridge, passed away March 5, 2017 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late William D’Antonio. Mrs. D’Antonio was born in New Haven on June 14, 1916, daughter of the late Ettore and Lena Longo Luciani. She lived in Woodbridge most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she operated the D’Antone Beauty Salon. Mrs. D’Antonio is survived by her daughter, Virginia Herlihy of Woodbridge, with whom she resided; one brother, Lawrence Luciani of Woodbridge; one sister, Agnes “Dolly” DeFilippo of Woodbridge; two grandchildren, Anne Herlihy and Daniel (Jessica) Herlihy; and four great grandchildren, Lucas, Alec, Celeste and Baxter. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Mirto and eight brothers, Vito, Adolph, Guerino “Goodie”, Raymond P., Ettore “Sheik”, Alexander “Sonny”, Robert and Emidio “Midge” Luciani.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Thursday morning at 10:20. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Road, Woodbridge at 11:00. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15 am.
