ROBERT P. SHANNON Obituary

Robert Phillip Shannon, 87, of Plantsville, died peacefully July 17th.  Born in Green Island NY He was the son of the late Lawrence William Shannon and Freda Louise Crosier. He was predeceased by his brother Lawrence Shannon. Bob retired from the New Haven railroad after 24yrs of service.  He was a proud Veteran of the US Navy. Bob was very grateful for the care and support he received from the VA.  He is survived by his sister Joan Shannon and brother Richard Shannon.  He leaves 9 nieces and nephews:  Karren Perez DesRosier, Kevin Perez, Kathe Perez, Kimberlee Perez, Lawrence Shannon, Richard Martin Shannon, Kathleen Coughlin, Richard Frederick Shannon, and Lauren Zielinski. 

At his request a Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Church, 5 Hillhouse Ave., New Haven Saturday July 29, at 10:00 AM. Contributions to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org. The Celentano Funeral Home is proud to be handling his arrangements.
