Philip F. DeAngelo, 86, of New Haven passed away April 27, 2018 at Whitney Manor. Born in New Haven on May 4, 1931, he was the son of the late Felice (Francis) and Florence Rapuano DeAngelo. At the time of his retirement, he was general manager of New Haven Bus Co. where he had worked for 40 years. He served in the military during the Korean War. He is survived by his sister, Anna Marie DeAngelo of New Haven; nieces and nephews, Mr & Mrs. John Crouch, Mr & Mrs Joseph DeAngelo Jr., Linda DeAngelo and Mr & Mrs Robert DeAngelo; his dear friend, Juan Rivera; Good friends, Mrs. Corine Avery and family, Mr & Mrs Candido Gonzales, Mrs June Barnes, all the Rivera family and especially, Mrs Marisel Ramos. He is also survived by many other friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his step mother, Mrs Anna DeTullio DeAngelo, his brother, Joseph L. DeAngelo and his sister, Rose DeAngelo Bellucci. The family would like to thank the staff at Whitney Manor for their care and attention.
Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Church, 397 Ferry St. Monday morning at 10:30. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
