Michaelina Piscitelli, 95, of New Haven passed away March 27, 2017 in St Raphael’s Campus. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank A. “Cheech” Piscitelli. She was born in New Haven June 12, 1921, daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Mennone Piscitelle. She worked as a seamstress and later, worked in the office of the C.W. Blakeslee Co. She was an avid bingo player at the casino and loved her trip to Italy. She and her husband enjoyed spending the winter months in Sarasota, Florida for more than 20 years. She was part of the group that made palm crosses at St. Donato’s Church for many years at Easter time and more recently, at St. Francis Church. She is survived by her daughter, Joanna (Alphonse) Panzo of Branford; her grandson, Andrew Panzo; her sister in law, Josephine Lindquist; 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Piscitelli; and four sisters, Antoinette Santa Barbara, Rosalina Cacace, Clementine Giaquinto and Carmel D’Amato; and her grand daughter, Angela Christina.
The family would like to thank the staff at Branford Hills Health Care for the excellent care they provided to Mrs. Piscitelli.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Friday morning at 10:30. Mass in St. Francis Church, 397 Ferry St. at 11:00. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
