Michael Anthony DaLuz entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. He was born in New Haven, CT on November 24, 1965, to Yvonne DaLuz-Henderson and Mayfield Jones. Michael graduated from Wilbur Cross High School in 1983 and began his service in the U.S. Army starting the following year. He attended Southern CT State University after his discharge and graduated in 1988. He went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Springfield College in 2006 and six years later, in 2012, he received a Ph.D. in Counseling from Capella University. He turned his life story into a book “You Gotta Dance” which he co-authored with his cousin Bryant DaLuz in 2009. He retired as Director from the VA Hospital in Detroit, MI in 2019. Michael is survived by his three daughters Morgan (AZ), Heaven (CA), and Bella (CT); siblings Lisa Adams (TX),Teba and Hasina Henderson (CT), Billie Pitt (Brandon) of North Carolina. Crystal Moore, Heidi Gilber,Regina Rogers,Tracy Henderson (predeceased); mother Yvonne Henderson, stepfather Edward Henderson and a host of niece and nephews. Michael had a special group of friends that he would like us to mention; Bryant DaLuz, Brian Texeira, Shonne Gibson,Derrick Davis, and Danny Barnes.
