Marjorie Vanacore Martucci of Hamden passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. She was the wife of the late John M. Martucci. Born in New Haven, she was the daughter of the late Genevieve and Charles Vanacore. Marjorie is survived by her daughters Marguerite Kaplan (Richard) of Greensboro, NC and Marybeth Martucci of Hamden, CT, grandsons Jacob Kaplan (Laurie) and David Kaplan (Jessica), her great grandchildren Luciana, Margot, Evelyn and Samuel, her sister Rose Ramadei and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, John F., Ernest J., Joseph A. and Salvatore Vanacore and two sisters, Madeline Giannotti and Mary K. DeMennato.
Friends may call at the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm Street, New Haven, on Monday, May 8 from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Blessed Sacrament Church 321 Circular Avenue, Hamden at 12 noon. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden.
