Marie A. DeFelippo Sansone, 72, of West Haven passed away Aug. 6, 2017 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of James Sansone. Mrs. Sansone was born in New Haven June 13, 1945, daughter of the late Pasquale and Marie Montanaro DeFelippo. She was a Major Accounts Representative for Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield where she worked for 35 years until her retirement. Her grandchildren were the love of her life and she enjoyed playing the slot machines at the casinos. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Christopher (Kellie) Sansone of Alexandria, VA. and Pasquale (Shalmar) Sansone of West Haven; one brother, Frank (Joan) DeFelippo of East Haven; a sister in law, Theresa Sansone of New Haven; and three grandchildren, Cara, Adriana & Maryann. She was predeceased by her brother, Pasquale DeFelippo.

Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St Lawrence Church, West Haven Wednesday morning at 10:00. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven
