Louis A. Giangola Jr.

Louis Anthony Giangola Jr., 74 years old, of Wallingford, CT entered into eternal rest peacefully February 11, 2022 at CT Hospice in Branford with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of 54 years to Mary Finelli Giangola. Louie was born in New Haven December 27, 1947 son of the late Louis A Giangola Sr and Palma Elena (Helen) Ferrucci Giangola. Father of Dina Ann (Peter) Guarino of Killingworth, Louis III and Christopher Giangola of Wallingford; grandfather of Gabriella, Sofia, and Peter Guarino. Also survived by his sister Barbara (Ronald) Apuzzo of Florida and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. A Master mechanic he was the proud owner of Horseless Carriage of North Haven for 50 years. A graduate of Eli Whitney he received multiple awards over the years for his achievements in automotive engineering and repairs recognized as one of the best in the industry. Lou taught young mechanics at Porter & Chester of Hamden and throughout his lifetime but his greatest joy was working with his grandson rebuilding cars and trucks. He served proudly as a submariner in the US Navy during Vietnam and was a Captain in the Govenors Horse Guard. He will be forever missed by those who knew and loved him. A Private Funeral Mass will be celebrated. His arrangements are being handled by the Celentano Funeral Home, New Haven
