Linda Slater Obituary

Linda Slater, a beacon of love and joy, peacefully passed away on May 29th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and cherished memories that will forever illuminate the lives of those who were touched by her presence.

Born on July 17th, 1950, to Howard and Sophie Slater, in New Haven, CT, Linda embraced life with boundless love and devotion. Her greatest joy in life was found in her role as a grandmother, showering her granddaughters, Reagan, and Natalie, with endless affection, laughter, and unconditional love. She cherished every moment spent with them, delighting in their laughter, sharing stories, and creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

In addition to her beloved role as a grandmother, Linda found joy in her passions for gardening, cooking, baking, and hosting gatherings for her loved ones. Her home was always filled with the aromas of delicious meals and sweet treats, welcoming all who entered with open arms and a warm heart.

Professionally, Linda dedicated 30 years to serving in Production Services at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, where her dedication, professionalism, and kindness earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

Beyond her professional achievements and her cherished role as a grandmother, Linda was a loving mother to Tricia (Dan) Morrell (CT), and a dear friend to many. She is survived by her sister, Mary Levine (CT and FL) and brother, Howard Slater II (CA), and preceded in death by her parents, her sister Diane Slater (CT) and brother Michael Slater (TX). Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.

Though she may have left this world, Linda will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to have known her. Her legacy of love, joy, and devotion to her family will continue to inspire and uplift us, guiding us through life's journey with grace and compassion.
