Leona (White) Williams

Leona White Williams, 87, of Bethany, passed away peacefully in her home July 6, 2022. She was the widow of Richard J. Williams (NHFD Ret.). Leona was born in New Haven January 19, 1935 daughter of the late Leon and Ethel White. 

Leona worked for many years as the Assistant to the Prosecuting Attorney in the New Haven County Court system. She is survived by her daughters; Linda Williams West Friendship, Maryland, Nancy (Roland) Demers of Hamden, Donna Williams of Bethany, and Susan (Robert Ferrie Sr.) Williams of Meriden; her siblings Barbara (Charles) Satterly of Oro Valley, Arizona, Ronald (Jane deceased) White of New Haven, and David (Peggy) White of North Haven. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a grandson. 

A Funeral service will be held in the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St., New Haven Wednesday, July 13 at 1:00pm. Family and friends may pay their respects prior to the service from 11:00am-1:00pm. Interment will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
