LUCIANI, LAWRENCE
Lawrence “Larry” Luciani, 96, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2022. Larry was born in Woodbridge on October 30, 1926, a son of the late Ettore Luciani Sr. and Lena Longo Luciani.
He worked his entire life supporting the Luciani family farms and businesses. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his 10 siblings; Robert, Alexander (Sonny), Ettore Jr. (Sheik), Guerino (Goodie), Raymond, Vito, Emidio (Midge), Adolph Luciani, Rose D’Antonio, and Agnes (Dolly) DeFilippo. He is survived by Alexander’s wife Adair, Guerino’s wife Jacqueline, and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Uncle Larry was a loyal and lovable brother, uncle, and friend. Quick to share facts and opinions about the The New York Giants, Yankees, and Uconn athletics, he loved his teams and loved even more their ability to unite family and friends.
Uncle Larry had an air of innocence and a kind heart. Lucianis and everyone who knew him are mourning his death and celebrating his life. For the Lucianis, a Woodbridge family for more than 100 years, his passing marks the end of a generation.
Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday Dec. 3rd in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Rd., Woodbridge at 10:30 AM. All are invited to pay their respects to the Luciani family in Church from 9:30-10:30. Interment will follow with his parents in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
