Lillian DeSanto, 101, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2018. She was the widow of Alfred DeSanto formerly of Hamden. Lillian was born in New Haven May 27, 1917 a daughter of the late Dominic and Maria D’Andrea. She worked for many years as a beautician. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Mongillo; her son, Anthony DeSanto; six grandchildren, Stephanie, Therese, and Maria DeSanto, Dana (John) Wetmore, Ryan and James Mongillo; 5 great grandchildren, many loving nieces and nephews and her sister in law Ann Piscitelli. A special thanks to CT Hospice Home Care and the staff at YNHH Geriatric Home Visit Program. Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Thursday at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
