Laura Zaino Ariosto, 64, passed away peacefully July 8, 2021 after a brief illness with her loving family by her side. She was the widow of Luigi Ariosto. Laura was born in New Haven April 9, 1957 a daughter of the late Ciro and Nancy Mastrobuoni Zaino. She attended Saint Aedan Parochial School in New Haven, CT and Sacred Heart Academy in Hamden, CT. She grew up in the Westville area of New Haven and later moved to Hamden. She was a payroll supervisor for St Raphael Hospital and Yale New Haven Hospital for over 30 years. She loved playing board and card games. Was a huge fan of soap operas and Elvis Presley. Loved to go on cruises, and vacations to Florida, and Myrtle Beach. Loved to cook and host wonderful parties and holidays. Loved to sit down and enjoy a good Danielle Steel book. She is survived by her children LisaMarie Sullivan and Frank (Kasey) Sullivan. Also survived by her sister Linda (Frank) Darling, niece Maria (Jerry) Cook , and nephews Robert Peckingham and Jonathan Peckingham, her stepchildren, Lisamarie (Joe) Stanelun and Luigi  (Amanda) Ariosto, and step grandchildren, Ona, Jojo, LJ and Angelina.
Friends and family may pay their respects Monday from 4-7 PM at the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Aedan Church, 112 Fountain St., New Haven Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow with her husband Luigi in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
