Joan Osborne of Wallingford passed away on March 27, 2026 in the Regency House of Wallingford. She was born in New Haven December 7, 1938 to Edgar and Peggy Short. She lived in Hamden with her late husband John.
She was a fun loving and energetic friend, mother, and sister. She worked as a lunch lady at Wilbur Cross High School until she retired. Then she enjoyed her family, friends and trips to the Mohegan Sun as often as a possible. After her retirement she moved to Wallingford.
She is survived by her sister Cathy Brenneis of North Haven, her granddaughter Jessica and her son in law Chuck Long of Texas, her daughter in law Elaine Clement of Wallingford, her grandson Edgar Clement Jr. (Vicky) and great grandson Jackson Leo Clement.
She was predeceased by her parents Edgar and Peggy Short, her husband John Osborne, her son Edgar Clement, her daughter Constance Hobart, her daughter Jacqueline Osborne Long, and her granddaughter PFC Melissa J. Hobart, U.S. Army Rangers.
A Funeral Service will be held in the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm., St. New Haven Thursday April 2nd at 11:00 AM. A visitation will take place prior from 9:30 - 11:00 AM. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
