Jesse J. Stanley Sr.

Jesse J. Stanley Sr., (75), of New Haven, CT,  passed away, December 22, 2023.

Born of Howard and Anna Stanley, he enlisted in the Navy during Vietnam and continued a tradition of military service in the family. After being honorably discharged he pursued a career as an electrician and worked at Yale University for decades until his retirement.

He held many titles in his life to include father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. Those who had the fortune to know him were blessed. He never met a stranger in his life and made fast friends from anyone who crossed his path. His home was a place for people to gather and celebrate any occasion. He was always there for friends and family alike. Jesse was also an avid baker and cook. Everyone could see the amazing desserts he baked or meals he shared in his nightly posts online. Next to each meal was a glass of milk or his favorite beer, always a Bud. Jesse’s family will host a funeral service on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at Celentano Funeral Home in New Haven, CT. Calling hours are 10:00 am to 12:00 pm after which there will be military funeral honors and a blessing.
