John J. Wordie Jr., 57, of New Haven passed away unexpectedly at home on April 2, 2018. Born in New Haven on Feb. 26, 1961, he was the son of John T. and Marie Pellegrino Wordie. Recently, he worked at the Howard Johnson Motel. However, he was well known as a tow truck operator for Unger’s Auto Body for many years. Besides his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Haley Wordie of Florida and Marissa Benevich of East Haven and his companion, Denise Sandella.  He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul and Michael Wordie.
