Jean Santacroce, 82, of New Haven passed away peacefully February 24, 2017 in Montowese Health Center. Jean was born in New Haven, October 13, 1934, a daughter of the late Stefano and Nicolina Papparella Santacroce. Miss Santacroce worked for over 30 years in the State of CT, Chief State’s Attorney’s Office, serving as secretary to both State’s Attorneys Arnold Markle and Michael Dearington. She was a longtime communicant of St. Bernadette’s Church and a former member of the Ladies Guild. She also loved going to the casinos. Jean is survived by her sister, Rosemary Landolfi; her loving niece Regina (David) Beecher; and great nieces Amanda and Melisa Beecher. She was predeceased by her nephew Peter Landolfi Jr. and her brothers Nicholas A. and Alfred V. Sanatcroce. Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday morning at 10:20. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette’s Church, 385 Townsend Ave. at 11:00. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN.
