James E. “Jim” Miller, 75, formerly of North Haven passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2017. Born in Alburg, VT. On Dec. 30, 1941, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth Wedgewood Miller. He served in the Air National Guard and United States Air Force and is a Vietnam veteran. He worked for several years for Winchester U.S. Repeating Arms and then started his own machine shop, Miller Machining. He is survived by his former wife, Masako Oishi Miller; two daughters, Cathy (David) Torello and Cindy (V J) Peregolise; two grandchildren, Julianna and Zachary Ennis; a sister, Nancy (dec. Clifford) Hill; four brothers, Daniel (Cheri) Miller, David (Eldonna) Miller, John “Jack” (Ruth) Miller and Paul (Wendy) Miller; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Gregory T. Miller.
A private graveside service will be held in All Saints Cemetery at the discretion of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the APT Foundation at https://aptfoundation.org.
