Herbert Louis “Ho” Daniels of 134  Englewood Drive, New Haven went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 27, 2018 while at the Connecticut State Veterans Home in Rocky Hill.
Born in New Haven Aug 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Florence and Dennis Daniels. He attended the New Haven School system, graduating from Hillhouse High School. He worked as a machine operator at OLIN for 44 years, retiring in 1986.  He was married to the late Violet Feguson Daniels. An Army veteran of World War II, he is survived by a son, Retired Fire Chief Dennis W. Daniels (Jackie) of New Haven; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Jasper, William and Joseph; a sister, Bertha Moye Dove of Kingston, N.C. and a daughter, Sheila Daniels Wright.
Funeral services will be held  at Dixwell Congregational United Church of Christ, Dixwell Ave., New Haven Friday at 11:00 am Viewing will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery
