George Cofrancesco, 79, of East Haven passed away June 17, 2017 in The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was the beloved husband of Annette DeCrosta Cofrancesco. Mr. Cofrancesco was born in New Haven Oct. 18, 1937, son of the late Michael and Lillian Busher Cofrancesco. Prior to his retirement, he worked for many years as an expert tile setter. He served in the Armed Forces during the Korean War. Besides his wife, he is survived by his devoted son, Michael S. Cofrancesco of East Haven; two brothers, Nicholas Cofrancesco of New Haven and Donald Cofrancesco in Florida; two sisters, Marie Stygles of Hamden and Irene Monroy in California. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Cofrancesco.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Tuesday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare’s Church, 234 Coe Ave., East Haven at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15 am. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
