Gloria DiBenedetto, 90, formerly of 65 Messina Drive, East Haven, passed away Feb. 2, 2018 at The Willows in Woodbridge. She was the widow of Jerry Di Benedetto.Gloria was born in Branford July 1, 1927, daughter of the late Peter Martone and Rose (Pascale) Tafi. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jean (Salvatore) DeAngelo; two grandsons, four grand daughters and several nieces and nephews including Josephine R. Wheaton, her primary care giver for many years. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Vincent and Jerry DiBenedetto; four brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Salvatore and Domenick “St. John” Pascale; and two sisters, Madeline Pagliuca and Lena Garufi. The family would like to acknowledge the care given by health aid, Bobbie Boomer and the staff at The Willows.

Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Wednesday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette’s Church, 385 Townsend Ave. at 11:00 am. Friends may call prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 10:30. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
