Frank J. Mezzanotte, 87, of Milford, passed away on Dec. 22, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Josephine Jean “Dolly” Giordano Mezzanotte. Born in New Haven May 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Rose Santora Mezzanotte. He worked as a letter carrier for the US Post Office for many years until his retirement. He was weekend manager at the Yale University Library and in his younger years was a member of the US Navy Reserves. He is survived by two daughters, Roseann Zawisza and Linda Mezzanotte, both of Milford; four grandchildren, Michelle Bailey Hocker, Nicholas, Christopher and Anthony Raso; and five great grandchildren, Anna Bailey, Kate Hocker, Vito, Julia and Jack Raso. He was predeceased by two brothers, Peter and Nicholas Dane; four sisters, Mary Prete, Annette Gencola, Margaret Maturo and Raffaela Nuzzo; and his granddaughter, Nicole Raso.

Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Victory Church, 600 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven at 11:30. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 900 to 10:45.
