FRANCES (Sullivan) INGENITO Obituary

Frances Ingenito, 91, of Harbour Village, Branford, passed away on Dec. 31, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Gabriel A. Ingenito. Mrs. Ingenito was born in New Haven Aug. 6, 1926, daughter of the late John and Mary Hennessey Sullivan. She attended Albertus Magnus College and received her Bachelor’s in Nursing Degree from Johns Hopkins University. She obtained her Advanced Practitioner credentials from Hartford Hospital and worked as an APRN at the University of Connecticut, Division of Rheumatic Diseases. She has been a resident of Harbour Village for 40 years and served many years on their Board of Directors including as President. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeth’s Church. Prior to moving to Branford, she was a resident of Center Road, Woodbridge where she was a member of the Women’s Guild at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. She is survived by her children, Drew (Jan) Ingenito of Durham and Ami (Brian) Goedke of The Woodlands, Texas; two sisters, Julia Kirby of Sun City, FL. and Claire Simpson of Westerville, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Kristin and Katie Goedke. She was predeceased by a sister, Ethel J. Sullivan.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church, 731 Main St., Branford Saturday, Jan. 13th at 10:00 am. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Dr. Gabriel A. Ingenito Medical Scholarship Fund, c/o The UCONN Foundation, 2390 Alumni Drive, Unit 3206, Storrs, CT 06269-3206.
