Felix L. “Jun” Oblena Jr, 70, of Hamden passed away at his home on Jan. 30, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was the husband of Ludivina Dio Oblena. Mr. Oblena was born in Tiaong, Quezon in the Philippines on August 8, 1947, son of the late Felix  Oblena Sr. and Felisa Lorido Oblena. He came to America in 1984. The family would like to acknowledge the care and attention provided by the staff at Avantus Dialysis Center. Besides his wife, Mr. Oblena is survived by three daughters, Rosefeliz (Vincent Williams) Oblena, Ashley-Ann Oblena (Jeffrey) Labrador and Courtney-Jo (Aquil Abdul-Salaam) Oblena; one brother, Magtanggol Oblena; two sisters, Imelda Oblena Veneracion and Filipina Oblena Leyesa; three grandchildren, Kylie Rose Oblena Williams, Aquila and Alkim Abdul-Salaam; as well as several loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Bayani Oblena.

Friends may call at The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Monday from 4 to 8 pm and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, 321 Circular Ave., Hamden Tuesday morning at 10:00 am
