Dean DeAngelis, 72, of Orange CT, passed away peacefully at home on November 30, 2023 with family members by his side. He was born in Lomita, California February 13, 1951 son of the late Rocco Henry (Hank) DeAngelis, Jr. and Marianne (Marion) Canali DeAngelis.
Dean was a Teamster Driver of Local 443 and 671 for 33 years and a Yard Master for City Point Yacht Club in West Haven launching and taking members boats in and out of the water. He also worked as a machinist for Greco Auto Parts of West Haven and especially enjoyed being the machinist and building fast cars with his son Rocco at Mild to Wild Automotive in Orange. Dean enjoyed boating, motorcycle riding, car racing, and building motors for boats and cars.
Dean leaves behind his kindergarten classmate and later to become his wife and best friend, MaryAnn Sansone DeAngelis. He also leaves behind his son Rocco DeAngelis who was his life, as well as his daughter in law Dana, a wonderful addition to our family and their three kids, our grandchildren, Dahlia, Rozzy, and Daisy who he loved very very much and wished that they stayed smaller a little longer so he could drive them to school again; which he enjoyed very much and said it was a great way to start his day seeing them and their smiling faces.
Dean says goodbye to all our family members and friends who he would do anything for anytime and was happy to be a part of their lives.
Friends and family are invited to the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm., St New Haven Saturday December 9th from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service to follow. Interment will be held in Orange Center Cemetery.
Donations in Dean’s memory may be made to CT Hospice, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the ASPCA for animals.
