Charlotte Lamb Obituary

Charlotte Rose Lamb

August 1, 1932 to February 4, 2023

Charlotte Lamb, 90 of North Haven passed away on February 4th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Charlotte was born in New Haven, and was the daughter of John Slater and Amanda (Peterson) Slater. She was the second youngest of their 10 children: Bill, Charles, Elizabeth, Fred, Gladys, Howard, John, Marylou, and Ruth.

Charlotte was an employee of SNET (AT&T), and retired after 35 years of service. Charlotte married Robert Lamb Sr. on December 22nd, 1951 before he left for his deployment with the Army to Korea. They had two children Robert (Julie), and Jane (Dominick), and three grandchildren Amanda (Peter), Will, and Andrew.

Charlotte’s greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She spent her life ensuring her children and grandchildren were loved and cared for. Charlotte and Bob Sr. were very committed to ensuring all of the children and grandchildren were college educated.

She loved the holidays, family dinners, and babysitting the grandchildren when they were small. Holidays were a special time, surrounded by family with lots of decorations and delicious food. Charlotte was a very talented cook and baker, and loved preparing delicious treats for the occasions.

Charlotte taught her family the importance of staying connected, caring for one another, and the meaning of unconditional love. Charlotte will be forever in our hearts, and truly missed.
