Carol Ann Cirigliano Grillo, 66, of North Haven passed away April 16, 2017 at her home after an 8+ year battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of James A. Grillo whom she married Sept. 11, 1976. Born in Hartford on Sept. 26, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Theresa Cirigliano. She was a 1972 graduate of UCONN and was a Certified Master Gardener (1995). As a Master Gardener, she enjoyed designing and caring for her many Perennial gardens in her own yard as well as for others. She enjoyed playing dominoes at the Branford Yacht Club and sailing in her sailboat. She looked forward to trips in their

 motor home to antique shows at Brimfield and the Elephant's Trunk as well as traveling to Maine for lobster at the Maine Diner in Wells. Traveling and visiting botanical gardens with varying climates such as Sedona and Scottsdale AZ., Santa Fe, NM, San Antonio, TX., the Cayman Islands, Florida and Pennsylvania was her passion. Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, James A. Grillo III and Keriann Grillo; her sister, Joan (David) Attardo; 11 nieces and a nephew. She was the sister in law of Dottie & Nick Scalia, Marie & Donald Camerato and Kathy Grillo.

Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Saturday morning at 10:45. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rita’s Church, 1620 Whitney Ave. at 11:30. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
