Carmen Russo, 89 of Hamden, passed away on Wednesday June 3rd, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 5th, 1932, in New Haven CT. He served in the army from 1952-1954 and also served during the Korean War. He worked for Winchester and Marlin Firearms up until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. He was the most generous man and was always there for his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  

Carmen is predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Mary Russo. His late wife Nancy(Borrelli) 2nd late wife Shirley (Cirillo). His brothers, Louis and John Russo, His Sisters, Lena Young, Marie Nastri and Frances Cirillo.

He is survived by daughter Dianne (Michael) Cofrancesco . Grandchildren Michael , Lisa, Joseph, Antonio, Anna, Alyssa, Giovanni and Aaliyah
Daughter Marie Kenney, and grandchildren Nancy, Tom, and Donald
His great grandchildren, Alayna, Aiden, Aubriana, Ariana, Stephon, Laveyah, Jerry, Andrew, Braydon and Courtlynn. Carmen is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects Thursday June 10th in the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. New Haven from 8:30 to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Christ the Bread of Life Parish, Blessed Sacrament Campus at 11:00 AM. Mr. Russo will be interred with his family in Beaverdale Memorial Park.
