Carmel M. “Millie” Salemme Marcarelli, 92, of Wallingford, passed away March 28, 2017 at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late Dionisio “Mac” Marcarelli. Mrs. Marcarelli was born in New Haven March 28, 1925, daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Rose Parillo Salemme. She was a Fair Haven resident for many years prior to moving to Wallingford. She was an active volunteer at the Wallingford Senior Center and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Her late husband was a well known antique dealer and furniture refinisher in New Haven. She is survived by three sons, Edmund (Karen) Marcarelli of Boston, Steven (Patti) Marcarelli of Palm Coast, Fla and Dean (Terra) Marcarelli of Peterborough, N.H. and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also survived by her dear friend, Jack Selmecki She was predeceased by her daughter Marie Marcarelli Kazmercyk. and her brother, Salvatore Salemme.
Funeral from The Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St. (cor. Dwight) New Haven Monday morning at 10:15. Mass of Christian Burial in Most Holy Trinity Church, 68 N. Colony St., Wallingford at 11:00. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 9:00 to 10:15. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
