Anthony Vincent Basilicato 
April 12, 1955-June 25, 2025
Anthony (Tony) V. Basilicato passed away peacefully surrounded 
by family & close friends. He was affectionately known as the 
“Muppett Guy” from North Haven as a result of being well known for 
working on Jim Henson’s “Muppett Show” and also performing
in the first “Muppett Movie”.  He also spent many years inspiring the 
younger generations by teaching the Talented and Gifted program
which included many different types of art classes.

Tony’s strongest creative force was his amazing ability to create
original characters and stories which were funny, entertaining 
and always ended with a heartfelt message. He truly was a 
creative genius and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, Vincent A. Basilicato (1927-1997),
Ann (Tootsie) (Martone) Basilicato (1929-2008), 
and his younger brother “Little Vinny”
Vincent Mark Anthony Basilicato (1964-1981).
He is survived by his loving wife RowenEdwina Basilicato -
they had just celebrated their 43rd year together; his close, loving friend 
Lisa Bozuchowski whom we are grateful to for many things,
and countless other very loving close friends.
He also leaves behind several cousins and a sister, Diane C. Basilicato.
