Abel Padro, 70, passed away December 3, 2022. He was a Father, loving Abuelo, caring Uncle, mentor, and leader of Early Childhood Education in Connecticut.
He is survived by:
His Mother Carmen Rosado.
Brother Rodolfo Padro and Sister-in-Law Elizabeth Padro.
Sister Maritza Decampos and Brother-in-Law Patrick Petty.
Love of his Life, Andrea Urbano.
Son Miguel Padro, Daughter-in-Law Lindsay Padro, Granddaughters Hope Padro and Alora Padro.
His nephew Tom Padro, nieces Jolene Padro, Kat Vaugh, Zoe Petty.
And the over 5000 kids that lives were affected by him working for Head Start and Early Childhood Education for over 40 years in the New Haven and Bridgeport areas.
Pre-deceased by his Father Rodolfo Padro and Sister Elaine DeCampos Vaugh.
He was a graduate of Weslyn University and Fellowship Program at UCLA.
He was a Veteran, a fighter, an advocate and more than anything a believer in doing the right thing. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Celentano Funeral Home, 424 Elm St., New Haven Thursday from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Thomas More Chapel, 268 Park St., New Haven Friday at 10:00 AM. Interment with his family will take place in Massachusetts.
