Anthony J. “Toto” Esparo, 84, of Bethany passed away March 20, 2017 in the St. Raphael’s Campus of Yale NH Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Marie Martino Esparo. Mr. Esparo was born in Woodbridge on Sept. 7, 1932, son of the late James and Anna Proto Esparo. He worked as a member of Operating Engineers Local 478 until his retirement. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a great love for his grandchildren. Besides his wife, Mr. Esparo is survived by one son, Martin Esparo of Woodbridge; three daughters, Ann Brano, Catherine Triplett & Dorothy Esparo, all of Bethany; a brother, James (Dolores) Esparo of North Haven; his sister in law, Alice Esparo; six grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Frank Esparo.

A Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Woodbridge, was held privately.
