Despite her disabilities, and this heartbreaking ordeal leading to her passing, Louise was a lovely lady and she did live a peace-filled quality life. Not many can say that. Her brother Richard made that courageous decision to afford Louise an opportunity to live in her own home in the community. I am so thankful that her family chose a GIL Group Home to make that happen. Louise was a precious woman who always reminded me of royalty when I saw her. She had this glow and this distinct essence about her. Her distinctive nature was seemingly formal and dignified, and yet she was personable, tranquil, and always so inviting. Louise looked and acted like the delightful lady she truly was. That quality is genuine and rare. On behalf of everyone at GIL Foundation, it was my sincere pleasure to serve Louise and her family since 2000. Everyone who worked with Louise could not help but see how special and endearing she was and will forever be to us. Louise was undeniably loved and cared for by the faithful Staff and genuine friends who worked with her daily. Everyone at GIL Foundation will miss Weezie as we experience this loss together. However, be assured that Louise has moved on beyond this world to a better and broader place. She indeed fought that good fight, and she is no longer ill, with no more restrictions nor any disabilities, having now come into her eternal reward – completely healed and forever made whole in the very presence of her loving Savior.
