To the DiNicola Family,
I'm very sorry for the loss of Sal. I remember listening to the Wonder Five on the radio. It was quite an inspiration for a young player. Thanks for the memories! May Sal rest in peace!

My condolences to the DiNicola family on the passing of Sal. As a boy growing up in East Haven, I followed the exploits of Hillhouse's Wonder Five and knew their names and positions. Sal and the Academics' other starters all averaged in double figures -- a balance rarely seen even in today's three-point hoops.
RIP, Sal DiNicola.
