Catherine C. Esposito, 89, died at Elim Park Rehabilitation Center in Cheshire. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph (Red) Esposito. Mrs. Esposito was born in New Haven Aug 10, 1928, daughter of the late Vincent Charles and Rose Caporale Conte. and was the twin sister of the late Dr. John V. Conte, DDS. She was a graduate of Commercial High School class of 1946. She worked at Strauss Adler in New Haven after high school and retired from AT & T in 1991 after 30+ years of employment. She was a long time resident of North Haven and, in later years, of Hamden. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Barnabas Church. She enjoyed dancing, bowling and spending time with friends and family. In her later years, she enjoyed participating in daily mass on TV, saying the rosary and watching various television programs from religious to crime fighting and mysteries. Like her twin brother, she could never say no to ice cream, chocolate or dessert. She is survived by her sister in law, Mary Agnes Fitzgerald Conte of Catonsville, MD (formerly of North Haven) her nephew, Dr. John V. (Dianne) Conte Jr. of Ellicott City, MD and her nieces, Mary Frances (Michael) Etter of Medford, NJ, Kathleen Conte (Gregg) Ayres of Calabasas, CA and Theresa (Michael) Lagonigro of Westminster, MD.; 13 grandnieces and nephews; one great grandniece and many cousins and friends.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Ave., North Haven Monday morning at 11:30. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Hartford, 839-841 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105
