Deidre Lee Robinson, 55, of 496 Elm St., New Haven, passed away suddenly Aug. 25, 2007. Born in New Haven June 19, 1952, she was the beloved daughter of Gertrude Dortch Robinson of New Haven and the late Henry Robinson Sr. She attended Gallaudet College in Washington, D.C. and also attended college in New York City, pursuing studies and training as a sign language interpreter. She worked as a sign language interpreter for the State of Connecticut, the City of Shelton and for Marrakech, Inc. Deidre was always the life of the party and was known for her contagious laugh. Besides her mother, she is survived by a sister, Lois A. Robinson of New Haven; four nieces, Virginia, Sheeva & Stacey Williams and Bryonna Pinero; a nephew, Alexander Pinero; her dear family friend, Ernestine Fisher of New Haven, whom she considered a sister; as well as several grand nieces & nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by a brother, Henry Robinson Jr. and a sister, Rebecca Williams. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 885 Wintergreen Ave., Hamden Saturday, Sept. 1 at 2:00 PM.
