At a young age, Dorothy and her family took up residence in Trenton, NJ, where she was educated in the New Jersey school system. She later moved to CT, where she remained all of her adult life.

Dorothy was the backbone of her family, who ruled with integrity, love, faith, respect, and pride. She was a home maker, peace maker, politician, and mom to all who came through her door. She lived a wonderful live full of love, family, and happiness. Dorothy was an inspiration to several generations, and was the epitome of class. She was truly a blessed woman, who was full of life.

Left to cherish her memories are her Ten loving children; Yvonne Greene-Chester (Fonz), Vivian Ellis, Laura Watts, Ivy Davis, Deborah Bowen, Patricia Bost (Randy), Ivette McQueen (Ralph), Austin Watts Jr. (Gail), Vincent Watts, and Ronald Watts, sister-in-law; Margaret Howlett, god son Edward Beverly, a myriad of grand-children, great grand-children, great great grand-children including, but not limited to, grand daughter Barbara Walker, former Alder Person, and grandson David Watts, City Councilman, Norwalk, CT, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

#3 Gail Storm Howlett Nixon 2012-01-16 04:20 To My dear & beloved Aunt Dorothy ( Aunt Dot): May your sun shine in heaven as it did on earth; I will miss you.
To My dear family: My heart is heavy with grief for this great loss to our family. It is almost the final chapter in one era of our family's history, and it grieves me greatly. Mother, Grandmother, gre at grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin…she was all those things and more to include soft spoken, quiet, peaceable and no doubt beautiful in spirit and in face. Let us go forward renewing in our minds and hearts that the legacy she has left behind is a much better one than she came here with, being a child born during the depression era. Let us than be lifted up by her countenance and example of strength and conservation of family togetherness. Let us love one another. Now and from now on. I only wish each of us love and peace. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Amen.

#4 Christie Family 2012-01-16 06:28 To the Watt Family and Loved ones: May Jehovah comfort you in these times. Death is such an enemy and we are grateful that our god has promised in his to get rid of this enemy once and for all in the very near future.( 1 cor 15:26; Rev 21:4.) Until then may you rest your hope in God's DESIRE to resurrect Ms. Watts back to his restored paradise earth. (Job 14:14,15 John 5:28,29)
You and your family are in our prayers.
